Events

2021 Bullet Chess Championship

The 2021 Bullet Chess Championship concluded April 8, with GM Alireza Firouzja taking first place and qualifying for the 2021 Speed Chess Championship Main Event.

2021 Junior Speed Chess Championship

The 2021 Junior Speed Chess Championship sponsored by ChessKid.com started on June 7. The winner of the championship will qualify for the Main Event of the Speed Chess Championship.

2021 Speed Chess Championship Grand Prix

The Grand Prix runs from September 18 through October 9 with four total tournaments happening once a week. The overall winner of the Grand Prix gets a spot on the 2021 Speed Chess Championship Main Event.

2021 Speed Chess Championship Super Swiss

The Super Swiss is a two-day event starting on October 16, with players competing in a Swiss tournament followed by a blitz and bullet knockout tournament. The winner of the Super Swiss qualifies for the Main Event of the 2021 Speed Chess Championship.

2021 Speed Chess Championship Main Event

The Main Event of the 2021 Speed Chess Championship united 12 invited players with four others who qualified from the other events. GM Hikaru Nakamura won the main event final on December 19.
