4 Player Chess Played Quick: All The Information
Chess Played Quick (CPQ) is Chess.com's series of events where top chess streamers complete bounties for prizes.
4 Player Chess Played Quick happens on August 28 (12 p.m. ET | 18:00 CEST | 9.30 p.m. IST). Top streamers play in teams of two in a two-hour 4 Player Chess arena. Teams can earn points based on their placement and by completing different challenges. To select challenges, participants are required to spin a wheel before each game. The event features 2000 Twitch/Kick subs as the prize fund.
Format
Teams play in a two-hour Arena tournament in the 2v2 Team variant of 4-Player Chess (not Free For All). The time control is one minute for the game plus five seconds per move (1+5).
Teams get points based on their placement (from 1st to 10th place) in the arena and via extra challenges. Points are awarded on a team basis, meaning that both team members get the same prize.
Challenges And Proof
Each challenge gives a different amount of points depending on its difficulty on a scale of one to three. Challenges are selected by the spin of a wheel before each game—teams cannot select their own challenge. You can only spin the wheel once before each game and you have to complete the challenge you get during that game. A link to the wheel will be sent to confirmed participants via email.
Proofs need to be sent for each successful challenge - any proof works as long as it's clear. Examples of clear proof include:
- Screenshots
- Clips
- VODs with timestamps
Teams decide on a captain who is responsible for the wheel spins for the whole event; the captain must also be the one who sends the challenge claim form.
