Registration is open for the 2018 Chess.com Daily Chess Championship, set to begin at 12 a.m. Pacific on January 1. This is the first such tournament we have organized on Chess.com.

If you are anything like us, you've got some chess-related New Year's resolutions. Playing and analyzing more games is a great way to learn. In this tournament, players will play 22 games against the 11 other players in their section (one with White and one with Black).

We recommend using our new features to save analysis as you go to document your thoughts. Then look back afterwards and see how your thoughts agreed with our computer analysis or your opponent's ideas.

At the time of writing, nearly 1,000 chess players are registered to play. To our knowledge, the largest tournament held on Chess.com is this inspiring behemoth with 2,522 players. Over 14,000 games were played!
