Chess Played Quick Bullet Edition: All The Information

Chess Played Quick is Chess.com's series of monthly events where top chess streamers do live speed runs using one of Chess.com's features.

This month's event, Chess Played Quick Bullet Edition, starts on June 28 at 10 a.m. PT/19:00 CEST. During 3 hours and 20 minutes, streamers will do their best to collect as many bounties as possible. With an open and a U2000 section, the event will feature prizes for the three highest-rated players in each section. Four main bounties and three hidden bounties complete the set of challenges that make up the $12,000 total prize fund.


Broadcast

We will broadcast the entire event on Chess.com/TV and on our Twitch and YouTube channels. During the event, Aranhawaii will provide commentary and highlight different streamers.

Format

  • Players will be divided into two sections (Open and U2000) according to their peak Chess.com bullet rating;
  • Players will do a bullet speed run in the 1|0 time control lasting 3 hours and 20 minutes;
  • Accepting direct challenges from other players is not allowed during the speed run;
  • During the speedrun, players will try to reach the highest rating in their section and complete different bounties (described in the Bounties section);
  • The four highest-rated players from each section will proceed to a knockout stage, seeded according to their placement in the speed run;
  • Knockout matches will consist of 10 minutes of 1|0 bullet games, with the player with the highest score after the end of the 10 minutes advancin;
  • The highest-rated player starts with White, with colors alternating after each game;
  • If the match ends in a tie, players keep playing until a decisive result occurs.

Prizes

Chess Played Quick Bullet Edition features a total prize fund of $12,000, distributed according to the participant's final bullet rating and bounties described below:

Open Prizes

  • Highest rating at the end: $1,000
  • 1st place in knockout: $1,500
  • 2nd place in knockout: $750
  • 3rd place in knockout: $500
  • 4th place in knockout: $500

U2000 Prizes

  • Highest rating at the end: $1,000
  • 1st place in knockout: $1,000
  • 2nd place in knockout: $500
  • 3rd place in knockout: $250
  • 4th place in knockout: $250

Bounties

We will announce the hidden bounties 20 minutes before the hour (00:40, 01:40, 02:40 elapsed time). Streamers will have 20 minutes to complete each hidden bounty.

Open Bounties

  • Longest winning streak: $500
  • First to hit 2000 bullet rating: $250
  • First to tweet proof of mate with two bishops: $250
  • First to tweet proof of knight and bishop mate: $250
  • Hidden bounty 1 - Best Vision Score: $500
  • Hidden bounty 2 - Highest Score in Crazy Mode of Solo Chess: $500
  • Hidden bounty 3 - Most Puzzle Battle Points: $500

U2000 Bounties

  • Longest winning streak: $500
  • First to hit 1600: $250
  • First to tweet proof of winning a game with the Bongcloud: $250
  • First to tweet proof of delivering mate with more than 50 seconds left on the clock: $250
  • Hidden bounty 1 - Best Vision Score: $250
  • Hidden bounty 2 - Highest Score in Crazy Mode of Solo Chess: $250
  • Hidden bounty 3 - Most Puzzle Battle Points: $250

Schedule

The event starts on June 28 at 10 a.m. PT/19:00 CEST. We will announce the hidden bounties on our official broadcast 20 minutes before the hour (00:40, 01:40, 02:40 elapsed time).

Rules And Signup

  • Players must play at least 25 bullet games on their new account before registering.
  • Players will be separated into two different sections (Open and U2000-rated) according to their main account's peak Chess.com bullet ratings;
  • Accepting direct challenges from other players is not allowed during the speed run;
  • The first player to finish each task and send in video or image proof collects the bounty;
  • Every player participating in the Open section will start with a 1200 rating;
  • Every player participating in the U2000 section will start with an 800 rating;
  • There can only be one player participating per stream;
  • We will announce hidden bounties on our official broadcast 20 minutes before the hour (00:40, 01:40, 02:40 elapsed time);
  • Players must sign up using the event's official form—applications close 48 hours before the event;
  • Players must stream their participation in the event;
  • Streamers must identify their accounts with their name;
  • Players must connect their streaming account to Chess.com.
