Chess Played Quick: Chessable Checkmates - All The Information

Chess Played Quick is a monthly event where streamers do live speed runs.

Chess Played Quick: Chessable Checkmates is this month's edition of the event. Starting on June 29 at 12 p.m. ET/18:00 CEST, top streamers will go through a Chessable tactics book as quickly and precisely as possible. The event features 2,000 Twitch/Kick subs as the prize fund.


Format

  • Players have two hours to go through a Chessable tactics book.
  • The book features multiple divided into four difficulty levels (easy, medium, hard, and super-GM).
  • Players try to finish the book as quickly and precisely as possible.
  • Players are ranked according to how fast they finish each section.
  • There's a 90-second penalty for every puzzle a player misses.
  • Only the player's first attempt at each puzzle counts toward the competition.
  • There are prizes for each section and for overall performance.
  • There are also milestone prizes.
  • Players must pass a minimum percentage of puzzles in each section to qualify for a leaderboard prize in that section:
    • Easy: 80%
    • Medium: 60%
    • Hard: 40%
    • Super GM: 20%

Chessable's CPQ tactics book will be available for free during the duration of the event for every Chessable member.

Leaderboard And Milestone Prizes

The event features 2,000 Twitch/Kick subs as the prize fund. Of these, 1,450 subs go to Leaderboard Prizes and 550 to Milestone Prizes as described below:

Leaderboard Prizes (1,450)

Leaderboard Prizes are divided into Difficulty Sections (900) and Overall (650) prizes.

Milestone Prizes (550)

Players who complete milestones earn points. The 550 subs destined for Milestone Prizes are then divided equally among every participant, according to their number of points at the end of the event. Each milestone below is worth one point.

  • Complete the easy section with at least 80% accuracy
  • Complete the medium section with at least 60% accuracy
  • Complete the hard section with at least 40% accuracy
  • Complete the Super-GM section with at least 20% accuracy
  • Complete the entire book with at least 60% accuracy
  • Complete the entire book with at least 70% accuracy
  • Complete the entire book with at least 80% accuracy
  • Complete the entire book with at least 90% accuracy
  • Complete the entire book with 100% accuracy

Schedule

The event starts on June 29 at 12 p.m. ET/18:00 CEST. Players have up to two hours to complete all the challenges. Streamers who finish the puzzles before the event is over do not need to keep streaming to be eligible for prizes.
