Don't blink and miss Chess Played Quick (CPQ), Chess.com's series of events where top chess streamers complete bounties for prizes.

Chess Played Quick - Puzzle Week Edition happens from January 8 to January 10 as part of Puzzle Week. For the first time, this edition will be split into three separate events. The first event, on January 8 at 12pm ET / 18:00 CET / 22:30 IST, requires participants to complete a two-hour Puzzle Battle speed run. In the second event, on January 9, participants will need to pull off the highest Puzzle Rush (5 min) score possible within 24 hours. Finally, the last event, on January 10, will challenge participants to attain the highest Puzzle Rush (Survival) score possible within 24 hours.

Format

Event #1

Players perform a two-hour Puzzle Battle speed run. Participants need to register with a brand new account or an account on which they have never played Puzzle Battle. Their objective is to reach the highest Puzzle Battle rating within the allocated time.

Players get points based on their placement in the rating rankings at the end of the event and via extra challenges. Those points determine the prizes each participant gets.

Event #2

The second event requires participants to achieve the highest Puzzle Rush (5 min) score possible within 24 hours, starting from midnight Eastern U.S. time (6:00 CET/10:30 IST). Prizes will be allocated to the top 10 high scores and to streamers who manage to beat their personal bests. Streamers are required to stream all their high score attempts and to submit their best one via the form at the bottom of this page (also accessible via the link).

Streamers can also take part in a special contest with their communities by providing their clubs during their registration. Taking the averages of the top 25 best puzzle rush scores from each club within 24 hours into consideration, the top 10 clubs' owners will receive prizes.

Event #3

Event #3 starts immediately after Event #2 and uses the same scoring system. The only difference is the theme, as this time participants will be required to achieve the highest Puzzle Rush Survival score within 24h.

In addition to the speed run, Event #1 features extra challenges available to participants (Events #2 and #3 do not have associated challenges).
