Chess Club Politika Win 20/20 World Chess Championships!

Congratulations to Chess Club Politika!

This Serbian team played a very strong side throughout this tournament and were the team to beat having finished top of the league, which was made up of 128 challengers from around the world, to qualify in a strong position for the Play-Off Finals which took place this past weekend on the 28th August 2021. 

After convincingly defeating Wallace Chess 7.5-0.5 in the Semi-Final, they faced a tough Kyiv outfit in the final where things initially did not go their way finding themselves 3-1 down at the half-way point. 

However they fought back superbly to take the match 4.5-3.5 to win the championships and the $2000 First Prize kindly sponsored by Chess.com!
