My Trip to Astana!
Hi everyone! 😊
Today I'm writing from the city of Astana. I arrived here today primarily to participate in the Kazakhstan Chess Cup 2023, and of course to have the opportunity to watch the World Championship Match.
Although Kazakhstan is a neighboring country of Kyrgyzstan, our capitals are located quite far from each other. Therefore, the journey was not easy: about 4 hours by bus from Bishkek to Almaty, a sleepless night at the airport, and at least a fairly quick flight from Almaty to Astana. But since I couldn't check in right away, I had to spend some time in the city until 2pm. It's good that my tournament doesn't start until tomorrow! After checking in and resting a bit, I still gathered some strength and decided to take a walk around the city and visit the Hilton hotel, where one of the side events, the Satty Zhuldyz Chess Festival, is taking place these days.
I am sharing with you the links to the upcoming tournament in which I will participate, as well as to the Satty Zhuldyz tournament.
In addition, I am happy to share with you some photos that I was able to take today. The tournament starts tomorrow, and I will try to keep you updated on the events 😊
