Panchenko Memorial 2021, Day 5: Halfway done.

Hi everyone!
I can't even believe that today is the tenth day since we arrived in Chelyabinsk. During this period of time, we managed to play in the three-day Rapid Memorial, and also played half of the classical tournament. But probably now time will run faster, since we only have 5 games left to play, and one day (namely Sunday) we have to play a double round. Even despite the fact that I experience health problems during this trip, I still enjoy my time in this city, and in terms of chess, everything is still going fine for me. Ah yes, and the weather! I know that in Bishkek we still have hot days, and it is so nice to feel the cool autumn in Chelyabinsk.

As for chess, the Sicilian Defense, Kan, Maroczy Bind Formation is the opening that happened yesterday in my game. This is a variation that I love to play, but also where I have a lot of problems (I hope my future opponents don't read my blog ). I spent a lot of time thinking about the moves in the opening. I wanted to come up with something creative. The creativity didn't work out that much, but in the end it didn't turn out so badly.
