The final event in the CCC21 series, after the Blitz and Rapid events, is the Bullet event. CCC21 will once again pit an incredibly diverse selection of engines against one another in the 1+1 time control. The event is expected to begin on November 6th.

Stockfish in dominate fashion won the most recent CCC21 Rapid with a score of 139/250 against Leela, as well as the prior CCC21 Blitz with a score of 302/500 against Torch. 


This event will feature the following matches. As the matches are played, this blog will be updated to link to the match, as well as indicate which engines are advancing further into the event. All engine placements are the results of seeding from the CCC21 Rapid.

Match 1: Entry League, will feature Weiss, Velvet, Carp, Stormphrax, Marvin, Equisetum, Tucano, Stash, Altair, Winter, Svart, and lastly WhiteCore. The top-6 of these 12 will advance to the next set of games. The match will include 1,056 games, spanning 4 days, allowing for an 8x DRR.

Match 2: Qualifier #1, will feature BlackMarlin, Uralochka, Arasan, Minic, Booot, and Smallbrain, as well as the top-6 engines from Match 1. Once again, the top-6 of these 12 will advance to the next set of games. The match will include 1,056 games, spanning 4 days, allowing for an 8x DRR.

Match 3: Qualifier #2, will feature Igel, Caissa, Seer, Clover, Viridithas, and Revenge, as well as the top-6 engines from Match 2. This time, only the top-4 will advance, to compete in the Main event. The match will include 1,320 games, spanning 5 days, allowing for a 10x DRR.

Match 4: Main, will feature Stockfish, Leela, Torch, Dragon, Berserk, Ethereal, Rubi, and Rofchade, as well as the top-4 from Match 3. The match will include 1,584 games, the longest of the entire event. This will take around 7 days, allowing for a 12x DRR.

Match 5: Semifinals, will feature the top 6 engines from the Main event. The match will include 1,200 games, spanning about 5 days, allowing for a 40x DRR.

Match 6: Challenger Match, will be a direct head-to-head between the #2 and #3 engines from the Semifinal Match. The match will include 1,000 games, spanning about 4 days.

Match 7: Finals will feature the #1 engine from the Semifinals, against the winner of the Challenger Match. The event will include 1,000 games, spanning about 4 days.


Results:

Stormphrax wins the Entry League, and will be promoted to the next event, along with Carp, Altair, Velvet, Equisetum, and Marvin, who took 2nd-6th place respectively in the 12-engine event.

Minic wins the Qualifier #1, and will be promoted to the next event, along with Uralochka, Booot, Stormphrax, Arasan, and Carp, who took 2nd-6th place respectively in the 12-engine event.

Caissa wins the Qualifier #2, and will be promoted to the next event, along with Igel, Clover, and Seer, who took 2nd-4th place respectively in the 12-engine event.

Stockfish wins the Main Event, and will play in the Semi-finals, along with Torch, Dragon, Leela, Berserk, and Ethereal, who took 2nd-6th place respectively in the 12-engine event.

Stockfish wins the Semifinals, and will advance to the Finals. Torch and Dragon took 2nd and 3rd place respectively, and will compete in the Challenger Match for the last spot in the Finals.

Torch wins the Challenger Match against Dragon, and will advance to the Finals to play against defending champion Stockfish.

Stockfish wins the Finals, with a score of 581/1000, against Torch. Stockfish won the previous CCC20 Bullet: Finals, with a score of 640/1000, against the initial debut of Torch.


Bonus Events:

The Fight for Fourth, a 500-game head-to-head between Dragon and Berserk, giving Dragon a chance to show that it won't be going down without a fight. Edit: Dragon wins with 270/500!

Would-be Challenger Match, a 500-game head-to-head between Torch and Leela, since Leela did not manage to qualifier for the Challenger Match. Edit: Torch wins with 294.5/500!
