Chess has great learning benefits, and encouraging your students and school to participate in this year’s ‘Hour of Chess’ allows everyone to have fun and learn at the same time.

What is Hour of Chess Week?
ChessKid 'Hour of Chess Week' invites schools to dedicate a week to playing chess for at least one hour. The goal is to introduce and encourage as many schools worldwide to try the classic educational game and see if running a chess club is something their kids would enjoy.
ChessKid.com made it possible for students at the school to play chess with students still learning from home. The students really enjoyed the hour playing each other.
—Dayna Faultersack, Washington's Kennewick School District
