What is the ChessKid National Festival?

The ChessKid National Festival is ChessKid's first-ever over-the-board tournament event filled with fun chess activities and family-friendly entertainment. From February 16-19, 2024, the epic four-day weekend festival in Charlotte, NC welcomes kids (K-8) and families to celebrate chess.

Kids will have the opportunity to:

• Play chess tournaments, bughouse, blitz, puzzles, and more, and compete for prizes.
• Meet popular chess masters and streamers.
• Learn from one of the strongest female chess players ever, GM Judit Polgar, in an online-exclusive VIP masterclass.

Experience the thrill of chess AND fencing! In collaboration with USA Fencing, we're bringing the hybrid sport of chess fencing to life so you can get a first-hand look at the unique combination.
