Free Webinar "Extra Exchange in the Endgame"
Dear Chess Friends!
Have you ever thought of using rooks in your endgames? Probably not, and that is a common overlook among chess players! An extra exchange in the endgame is a serious advantage.
Endgames of rook vs bishop or knight in the absence of pawns in the most cases causes a draw, but there are a lot of positions where the rook wins. Its range while playing against the knight, ability to cut off the enemy king, and gain tempo allows it to successfully destroy enemy’s fortresses. That is why it is difficult to defend such endgames for the weaker side.
