Mastermind "Typical Plans in Closed Positions"
Dear Chess Friends!
Planning is what most chess players, especially club players, usually struggle with. I also sometimes experience such problems in unfamiliar positions. Of course, an ability to come up with a proper plan depends on how you understand the position: if you played it before, analyzed or just watched some games in similar positions.
But what if not? What if the position is absolutely unfamiliar to you and you have no ideas? Well, it’s better to have some directions/guidance in your head, define the type of the position and which side of the board to play in order to achieve advantage and, of course, what to expect from your opponent. Planning is a very complex topic. That’s why, I decided to start a series of lessons to explain how to find a plan. And the first Mastermind will be devoted to planning in closed positions. I named it “Typical Plans in Closed Positions”. And I’m glad to invite you there.
Please, watch the recording in case you missed it.
