A few days ago I posted a scandalous letter from the Ukrainian chess federation to FIDE.

FIDE's legal advisor, Aleksandr Martynov, later confirmed on Facebook that the letter was real, and was received by FIDE.

...Many Ukrainian grandmasters are in total disagreement with what the heads of our chess federation Viktor Kapustin (the president) and Yuriy Gnyp (executive director) are doing. There is also concern about the policy over the national chess team, and other issues. But our opportunities to change the situation are limited.

June 2017: very glad with the news that my new chess book, Understanding the Sicilian, is released! http://www.gambitbooks.com/books/Understanding_the_Sicilian.html
