Ding Liren vs. Ian Nepomniachtchi: Game 2 Decides Who Takes the Lead | FIDE World Championship

Here's my recap of game two in the FIDE World Championship 2023 between Ding Liren (White) and Ian Nepomniachtchi (Black), without spoiling the ending.

Ding Liren surprises us first with an early h3 in the opening. They head towards a Queen's Gambit Accepted structure, giving him a comfortable position with a slight advantage. Ian tries aggressively attacking White's strongest pawn with a flank pawn. Despite this, Ding remains in a good position, and the game continues with fighting chess out of a dry opening. Ian makes a few excellent moves, including one where he threatens to win the knight on e4.

Check out the recap and watch til the end!
