We are excited to announce the India College Chess Championship: Spring 2025 (ICCL), the second edition of Chess.com's exclusive tournament to our Indian members. The inaugural season of the ICCL was a huge success and saw an incredible turnout, with 142 schools fielding 245 teams—the highest participation in the history of college championships hosted on Chess.com.

That first season concluded spectacularly, with the SRM Institute of Science and Technology emerging as the undisputed champions, claiming the title and a prize of ₹3,00,000. Remarkably, the team achieved a flawless record, winning every match throughout the season.

Starting on January 23, 2025, all our members attending college in India can participate in this exciting event, with a prize pool of ₹15,00,000 and premium memberships up for grabs.

Open to players of all skill levels, participants will compete in divisions based on their ratings, ensuring fair and thrilling matches for everyone.

Every team needs a captain to register the team before other members can join. Teams must consist of at least four players, with the option to include up to four substitutes for added flexibility.
