Jakarta Nanyang School (JNY), a leading co-educational school for 3 to 18–year–olds,offers a global and progressive approach to learning that educates the whole person in a nurturing environment which enhances the individual’s academic, moral, physical,social and emotional development.

Established in 2012 and situated in the heart of Bumi Serpong Damai (commonly referred to as BSD city in the Serpong district of South Tangerang within the Greater Jakarta area), JNY operates from an extensive campus that offers an array of excellent learning and sporting facilities which help students feel inspired to learn and grow holistically.

JNY adheres to the internationally recognized and highly regarded Cambridge pathway programme that leads seamlessly from primary to secondary to advance years. Students do the Cambridge curriculum that leads to the Cambridge Checkpoint tests (at Primary 6), the Cambridge IGCSE (at Secondary 4) and the Cambridge International A Level (at Junior College 2). This pathway not only lays a rigorous and firm foundation in learning but also gives strong support to students’ application for admission to leading and highly selective universities and tertiary institutions all over the world.

English is the medium of instruction for the core subjects of Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences. English Language is taught to a very high level of proficiency in order that students meet the language entry requirements for courses at overseas English-medium tertiary institutions. In addition, students study Bahasa Indonesia as a part of the national requirement for all Indonesian students.

A key strength of JNY education is that all students are exposed to the learning of Mandarin Chinese and Chinese Culture. Students with an adequate level of proficiencyin the language may sit for the Cambridge IGCSE Mandarin or the HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi), which opens the door in meeting the basic language requirement to Chinese universities in China and Taiwan.
