Hello, I'm Hannah. I like running, reading, writing, college football (Hook'em!) and chess. 😁
(1 Timothy 1:15)
The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.
Most importantly, I am a Christian and believe in the one true God who made everything and sovereignly reigns over everything.
The Bible teaches that God is just, righteous and good, but that we (mankind) are sinners breaking God's law and deserving his just condemnation and eternity in hell.
But God in his great love and mercy sent his only Son Jesus Christ who was fully God and fully man. Jesus fulfilled the law of God perfectly and died on a cross; bearing the sin and wrath of God for all who put their trust in him. He rose again on the third day conquering sin and death.
We are commanded to repent, acknowledge our sin, flee from it and believe in Christ alone to save us. This is a gift and those who truly believe in Him are not only are forgiven, but legally counted righteous before God; not with any righteousness of our own, but with Christ's perfect righteousness.
This is the good news of the gospel and the only way to be reconciled and made right with God.
Rom 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Rom 5:6)For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
(Eph 2:8-9)For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
