Dear Team France,
I hope you are well, we would like to revive one of our old challenges called the Grand Tour. Team Hungary would like to challenge your team for a 3 day correspondence match.
Our club: https://www.chess.com/club/team-hungary---magyar-sakkegylet
About this challenge - in a nutshell:
It's not a regular one, as it's part of a bigger theme that we, the members of Team Hungary, "invented" to make our team matches more fun.
It's called the Grand Tour and it's about travelling around the world by challenging other countries to play chess games.
Starting from Hungary, travelling through countries we hope to get back to Hungary in 80 team matches. The goal is to reach every continent on Earth. Kind of like Phileas Fogg did on his 80-day round-the-world trip.
On our Grand Tour, your country have been chosen as our next destination.
The rules are pretty simple:
if we win, we can move on (by voting),
if we lose, we have to find a different way to move on and
if we tie, we can move on, but your members can vote to decide the next country for us!
Furthermore, we can only move to neighbouring countries, either by land or by sea.
(We would set up the poll to make things easier, you just need to send the link to the poll to your members.)
We would like to launch the Grand Tour on 19th February, which is the 10th anniversary of our club.
I hope that you accept the challenge. Either way, please let us know your decision. If you say yes we are happy to set up the challenge.
In case you need further information about this challenge feel free to ask it.
