I know many of you are wondering about the specifics of these tournaments! I'm still working out the kinks with chess.com, but I assure you it's all happening very soon this month!

Once everything is confirmed, I will make an official post in my club. That's when you have to respond with some hype to increase your chances of gaining these memberships!

Q & A:

1. Are these yearly diamond memberships or a 1-month diamond membership?
- 1-month. (Yearly membership prizes will also be given out. But that's for later this year - not this month).

2. What if I already have a membership?
- Awesome! You can gift a friend or opt to be a $9.99 sub-member of my twitch channel (I will love you so much if you do). If you are a star or crown member, you will be upgraded to diamond for one month and then go back to your normal tier.

3. Are these memberships given out for every tourney once this event starts?
- No. There will be a series of tourneys; some bullet, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min, etc. There will be a point system and each point will be considered a ballot. So, for instance, if you have 5 points by the end of this event, then you will have 5 ballots. The more ballots you have, the higher the chance you will have in obtaining a prize. The prizes will be given away in a lottery fashion on a giveaway stream once the event is over.

4. How do we receive these points?
- The points will be distributed the following ways:
-- Participate in a tourney = 1 point
-- Be a sub in my twitch channel = 1 point
-- Follow me on Twitter = 1 point
-- Sub to my YouTube = 1 point
-- Post here to show you read this before April 20th = 1 point (yes, you can already have a point even before this event begins!)

-- There will be other ways to gain points - I'll keep you guys posted.

5. MTS, why are you making such a complicated point system?
- The reason is simple: to discourage cheating. All points will be given out in a way where it is pointless to cheat. This is why no points will be given for being first. Simply by participating will gain you a point. Also, there are so many level differences. I think it would completely be unfair for giving out prizes to those who are the best at chess. I want all of us to have fun and have a fair chance to win these prizes.

6. My twitch sub to you will be over soon. It was a gifted sub. Does this mean I will not get a point/ballot?
- Precisely. You will not get a point if I do not see that you are a sub by the time I'm adding up all the points.

7. Getting a point for playing you seems a little off. It's too random.
- True. Initially, I thought it would be fun. But if enough people don't like this idea, I'll definitely remove this from my algorithm. Remember, it's still not finalized yet.

8. What if people join the tournament for a few rounds and then ditch it? Will they still get a point?
- Absolutely not. I will get the names of the people who stayed from the beginning to end. It's quite easy to do.

9. I do not have a Twitch, Twitter, nor a Youtube account. These tourneys will be completely useless for me.
- Hmm, how do you figure? Just by joining a tournament and playing till the end, you will have a chance to win a 1-month diamond membership.
That sounds pretty fair to me.
You get extra points for being in more tournaments and supporting me in my other venues.
Again, that sounds very fair.
I am not forcing anyone in any way to sign up for a platform they do not want to be a part of. But if you do, it's my way of saying "thank you" for supporting me. Remember, these points/ballots are a lottery system once I draw the names. Even if you accumulate a 100 points, it still doesn't mean you will win. Though you will have a high chance. If you have additional ideas to make this even more fair, I'm all ears!

10. How do you know if we subbed to your Twitter, Youtube, etc?
- I will be making another forum post in this club in regards to how you can prove that you are a supporter. This will be done before the giveaway stream. Basically, for:
Youtube: comment your chess.com name on a video upload link I specify.
Twitter: comment your chess.com name on a tweet I specify.
If you forget to do this before the giveaway stream, and you are actually a supporter, please understand that I will not be giving you ballots. It is a difficult task managing all these points, so if a certain date is missed, hopefully you'll get it on the next series of tournaments.
