This is the initial draft of what the SoC groups should intend to pursue.

The intention of the SoC Groups is to advance its members understanding of the game of chess. All decisions made by the leaders of the SoC groups should be made with the utmost attention to the effect it will have on its members continued education in regards to chess. Each member should strive to be the best without in any way hindering the progress of another member. It should not be the goal of a group leader to have the strongest group, but rather the group with the most burning desire to improve.

In regards to new members, it should be most important that the individual has desire to increase their own understanding of chess above all else. New members should always be in contact with a group leader, and not invited by the suggestion of a member of a group alone.

If any member at any time becomes complacent and lacks a desire to improve, or lacks the intention to put forth the effort to do so, that member should be removed from the SoC groups. No member with the desire to learn should be removed for any personal reason unless the group leaders decide it best. As stated, the group leaders should never make a decision without the overall intention being that the decision made is in the best interest of the continued understanding of chess for all it's members.
