I am an e4 player with white and I play the dragon or the hyper accelerated dragon vs e4.

Vs d4 or anything else I play the KID (King's Indian Defense.)

In e4, I play the Italian, Vienna and the Scotch.

They say below 1500 you don't need to have any openings but I believe there is value in being comfortable in lower time controls so you don't just get flagged.

I stay away from tricks but if I'm playing for fun I'll throw out a King's Gambit or Frankenstien-Dracula variation (out of the Vienna opening) and the Evan's Gambit (and when I'm raging the Jerome Gambit lol) out of the Italian game.

I'm most booked up in the Grand Prix Sicilian for white but it's honestly been a while since I played it in a game.

Every line I play is sharp and fun and that's the point for me. What openings do you guys play and why and what is an opening I should definitely give a try?
