Hi. I just joined this group. I joined it so I could become better at chess, seeing as I am only a novice. I was thinking about learning some good openings to improve at chess. I looked on wikipedia and saw that the sicilian defense is considered very powerful, and I want to learn it. I would like to know exactly how to do many of the variations of the sicilian, how to counter them, and what the theory behind everything you do in the sicilian is. A big reason I would like to learn the last point is that when I looked on wikipedia, I saw that if you use an irregular opening called Anderssen's opening, you can play a kind of sicilian with reverse colors. To do so, the line would be 1. a2-a3 e7-e5 2. c2-c4 (note, I am not very good at chess notation so please forgive me if I messed up). I would like to know, based on the theory behind the sicilian defense, how useful this reverse sicilian would be.

The sharp improvement for Fried Liver attack, 6.d4 gives white a better game. This game I found was NOT the same line in Fried Liver and Lolli Attack but it came-up with the same game as Lolli Attack, a delayed Fried Liver Attack. This is a nice game or to trick your opponent.  In this game it was the Lolli Attack.     This is the trap in Lolli Attack           Hope you learn something...
This is a irregular Indian Defense where Kasparov was lost. No comment in this game yet, but I'll put some later.     Hope you learn some winning moves in this game...
Hey guys, i'm building a new opening-repertoire based on d4 with white and i still need some aggressive variations against some lines. Does anyone know an aggressive line against the Grünfeld and players who force me into a QGD via d4 nf6 c4 e6 nc3 d5 (i usually play the BDG against 1.d4 d5)? Thx in advance, callerr
First off, I hate playing the French.. but damn... You'll probably notice how strikingly similar this game is to the one above.

These games that I will show you, are the basic traps of Sokolsky. This opening is not very common in tournaments that's why other players fall into it, because of not knowing the traps. The opening starts with 1.b4, but I decided in some games to start with 1.e4 then later i move b4, still the play is still the same. Doing this 1.e4 you will let your opponent to do Sicilian Defense.  Basic Traps: (winning a piece, no checkmate)             Later some of my games.to be continue...

Hi guys!    Enjoy your valentine's date with chess.com, sorry for not posting any of my games in many days. I'm really busy in my work, and never had a chance to play chess online. Luckily my boss is not around today, heheh, (don't make such things like I do). This game I played was against sicilian, I always like to experiment some moves that is playable. I done lot of sacrifices in this game, just to have the open lines to checkmate him. I hope you can learn something here but I don't promise that all my moves here are correct, please do check some of our mistakes. I just want to share some of my games.      I hope you learn something ^_^
Hello Everyone, Welcome to SeaCKAT Killer moves, this will be my 1st post here. What I will show you is my signature move (in short I invented a checkmate pattern). I will make this post same as the Admin do from the past, ill post a puzzle but no solution at 1st to let u think 1st. Is it ok? This will be Fun. Happy solving it... White to move, what is the best move for you. The crazy answer is here... .... ... .. . in my mind ^_^ Here are the answer: Please look at the move list to view other checkmate pattern. I hope you enjoy and learn !!! This is from my post I'll put it here so you can read it. Now some, maybe ask this question; Why the black knight doesn't capture the white queen? ... now can you imagine why??? ... .. . Its because, the knight is PINNED (a basic Tactics in chess), the word pin in chess is making a piece stay in the square and can't move because it will open an attack and check the king, this is called absolutely pinned. I hope you learn something new here...

Well, I've been campaigning for "Best Group Manager of the Year" for many months now, but since Chesskween has thrown her hat into the mix, I haven't been able to post a single comment anywhere. I'd feel too guilty competing against her. So I'm switching my campaign to "Member of the Year" since it's the only other one that I'm in contention for (although I was a lot closer in the other one). Good Luck Jane. I'll tell people to vote for you. I hope you do the same for me.
