thanks a lot! How can I set up rated / unrated games when I seek for a new chess mate? I just pressed play - 3 days and here she was ... Thanks so much! I know it is not the most important thing in the world but still I want to understand how to climb up the latter

If you choose Custom, you can turn on the Rated toggle. It should use that setting for subsequent games.

I only see options to set the time ...

So to start a new game I click "play" and then I only have the option to select the time.

Is it somewhere else?

In Android it's under More > Custom Game

I imagine it is similar on the iOS app.
