@Jolanta-R - I got mine delivered today, about 30 minutes ago. 7 days from email to delivery. Just took it out of the box. Charging it up now to make sure it is fully charged.
A beautiful piece of kit. Board seems a bit slimmer than the Chessup 1 and perhaps a bit lighter as well. Well made, looks good. No obvious defects in the workmanship.
Pieces look and feel good. Hopefully you get yours in a little less time than mine.
I so happy for you. If anyone deserves that board, then it's you ( @cosmoKJ you should have printed that label for him sooner... lol)
I could almost feel how you were unpacking it ( from how you described it)...
Q: we need to have a regular cell phone charger for it, right? Or does it have to be bigger?
Also, I tried to see how much does Chessup (1) cost now, and only place I found it waa on ebay for $365(lol). Just a few days back it was still available on Amazon ( for example) for about $250... Just wondering, if maybe $299 is out of reach for someone...
re: The charging block - instructions in the box say
>= 10W (5V, 2A)
of which I have plenty laying around.
@Rsava Hello. Your description of the device and associated merits answered my questions. Thank you. I am still having a hard time getting over the Chessup's toy-like appearance - shallow, I know, but it is what it is. I just received my Chessnut Go a week ago, and am finding that the size fits nicely on my small desk, with the portability aspect a plus. However, it is good to hear that the Chessup 2 is a fine product... might get it later on. Cheers
Yes, I found a nice little spot on my desk for my Go as well.
Just got my Chessup 2 in today, it is a nice little piece of kit. I have played two games against chesscom bots, but both got disconnected before I could finish. Will be looking at some different settings on my network to see if that could be the culprit.
The board plays very nicely, the board is a bit better looking than the 1 but still has the plastic look to it. Overall though I like it a bit better than the Chessup 1. Currently only plays on chesscom, not the other site (which is where I play all my games) but that is coming in a future update that should be soon.
But the games I have played so far were very good. The pieces feel solid, not very wieghty but better than some other e-boards I have. Overall, right now I am pleased with it and I know BryghtLabs has a good rep for improving/fixing the software.
Won't be in the running for my go to e-board until they get the other site included, for that it will be my Pro, Air, and this Friday pulling the Evo back out of it's hiding place for a game.
