Got mine today. Instructions indicate a need for a "Charge Block" of at least 10W (5V,2A). Of course, that is NOT included so some will need to order one. angry

Is this a USB-C charger ? I presume most mobile charges are of this type ?

There is a USB-C charger included but the charging "block" or "brick" is not included because these are unique by country. Smart move by BryghtLabs.

We will post a video manual of how to connect - I will share in just a bit

TundraMike

@cosmoKJ I did start a separate thread in the same FORUM for this exact thing. Feel free to post it in both threads.

I am seeing about USD 329 after a 10% discount. Is that the current price?

They have been advertising during the World Championship match a price of USD 299. But I can't get that price on their website. The best I get is USD 329. I must be doing something wrong.

USA price is advertised - cheaper to distribute in USA and not import duties and no national tax. We cannot localize the ad on the stream, so everyone gets presented that $299 USD. Sorry for the confusion,

I just checked, and it is $299...

And probably the code from YouTube also still works...

There is $19 shipping fee...

But if you use code "ROSEN" you get $30 off, so the TOTAL comes to $288.99

Jolanta-R

Looks like I didn't help...

Oh well, I tried...

I start to feel like we are all talking about some magical / MYSTICAL thing that does not exist...

Like Bigfoot or something... Nobody has it, everyone wants one, and we all are sharing "stories" of how great it is... Something like that

Thank you.

I understand now.

It is nice to see that people are pleased with their purchase. I do have one question however... What makes the Chessup 2 product better than some of the offerings from Chessnut, or even Millennium? So far, no one has answered my query.

Hi Jeff wigh,

I placed my chessup2 board order on Nov-29, it was mentioned in site that product will be delivered by Dec10, but till now order# 26138 is showing as shipment is still in preparation. Tried to reach out support team to get details, but not getting any response, am getting feeling that this is some kind of scam. I request you kindly check this order, thank you

Sorry, have not seen a query from you.

What makes Chessup "better"? Well, perhaps not necessarily better, but different.

The Chessup2 has a small screen built in as well as WiFi capabilities so you can connect to the 2 main chess websites directly from the board - no need for a phone or computer to play games online.

Chessnut Evo can do it, but it is a much larger, more expensive offering.

Chessup also offers features for learning that are not offered on boards like the Air, the e-One, the Pegasus. For instance, Chessup 2 with its touch sensitive pieces allows you to touch a piece and see legal moves for that piece in the position.

The size is a bit bigger than the Air, not as large as the Chessnut Pro. The size of the Chessup 2 is a nice compromise between small desktop form and larger, tournament size.

Chessup 2 fills another slot in the e-Board space.

If you have specific questions about the capabilities, ask.

Orders for USA will be caught up this week - sorry for the delay.
Warehouse is backlogged because within 1 week of launch ChessUp 2 became the #1 selling smart chess board. Customer service was also overrun with customer emails due to the rapid increase in business.
We are working through it all and will be caught up very soon. Thanks for your order! I can confirm we have the order and it should ship by Friday and arrive by late next week. If I miss by a day or two, not intentional, just giving the most accurate forecast I can.

@Rsava

I just got the email with UPS tracking # this morning... Finally...

I looked that you ( @Rsava ) got similar email about a week ago... I was wondering did you receive your Chessup2 already?

I bought mine on November 29th... at that time it said that I would have it December 4th - December 10th... Needless to say that I was afraid to leave my house, so that I wouldn't miss the delivery... I guess now I can at least go out for some groceries without a fear... haha... I guess, I was hoping that it would just arrive ( without an email with the tracking info first), because now I know ( for sure) that it will NOT be here at least for another 5 or so days, and probably more than that... sad.png

Either way, just wanted to share this "happy" event ( receiving an email) with other ppl that are waiting, and find out how much longer I will be suffering without it... If I learned something then it is that I now will be promising to my child something only when I am 100% sure that it will be fulfilled by the date that I said it would... This waiting is nothing less than a TORTURE

@Jolanta-R - I got mine delivered today, about 30 minutes ago. 7 days from email to delivery. Just took it out of the box. Charging it up now to make sure it is fully charged.

A beautiful piece of kit. Board seems a bit slimmer than the Chessup 1 and perhaps a bit lighter as well. Well made, looks good. No obvious defects in the workmanship.

Pieces look and feel good. Hopefully you get yours in a little less time than mine.

I so happy for you. If anyone deserves that board, then it's you ( @cosmoKJ you should have printed that label for him sooner... lol)

I could almost feel how you were unpacking it ( from how you described it)...

Q: we need to have a regular cell phone charger for it, right? Or does it have to be bigger?

Also, I tried to see how much does Chessup (1) cost now, and only place I found it waa on ebay for $365(lol). Just a few days back it was still available on Amazon ( for example) for about $250... Just wondering, if maybe $299 is out of reach for someone...

@Rsava Hello. Your description of the device and associated merits answered my questions. Thank you. I am still having a hard time getting over the Chessup's toy-like appearance - shallow, I know, but it is what it is. I just received my Chessnut Go a week ago, and am finding that the size fits nicely on my small desk, with the portability aspect a plus. However, it is good to hear that the Chessup 2 is a fine product... might get it later on. Cheers
