Chessconnect: a free chrome extension for electronic chessboards

The latest beta v4.3.13 works splendidly but actually I'm missing the final result announcement ("White wins", "Black wins", "Game draw" and the like). Other than that, superb work !!!!!

My board has arrived on Friday but all I managed to do so far was install chessconnect, play a bot game then install chessconnect beta. Real life is a b**ch sometimes. More to come soon tho

It currently doesn't say anything at all when my opponent long-castles. It reads my long castling moves just fine, it just doesn't say my opponent's move.

Du you have an example game, where the opponent's long castle was not announced?

I have trouble in the KiWi-Browser connceting to my DGT-Board (Revelation II). I get the error "Dieser Browser unterstützt die WEB Serial API nicht".

But when I try to set the chrome flag "chrome://flags/#enable-web-bluetooth-new-permissions-backend", I can´t find it in KiWi anymore. Connecting to my Millennium Board works fine. Also connecting to the RevII in Windows works fine.

Any idea ?

Chessconnect does not yet support Android/USB

Kiwi on Android does in fact not support USB Classic which is required for DGT boards. So basically, DGT boards are not supported on Android (yet). I have corrected the compatibility chart on the chessconnect.de web page.

The Rev II doesn´t even have a USB-port, I tried it with Bluetooth

I just published version 4.3.16. Nothing too exciting. Just some bug fixes. Puzzles should work more reliably now. Plus several other minor issues.

That's chess.com. Puzzles and anaylsis board for lichess is still on my todo list.

I have some kind of problem:

Chessnut Go board, Linux (ubuntu 22.04), Chrome (128.0.6613.137 64 bit), chessconnect 4.3.16

When I connect the board on the home page it disconnects as soon as I load a new page (already known and explained behavior on chessconnect site)

I have the following flags enabled

#enable-experimental-web-platform-features

#enable-web-bluetooth

#enable-web-bluetooth-new-permissions-backend

I am able to hit the connect button to reconnect without problem ->except<- on chesscoms "/play" and "/play/online" pages, then the button stays brown and displays "searching" with no board selection dialogue popping up. The blue LED of the board is blinking while trying to connect.

This completely prevents me from playing online games through chessconnect at the time of writing. Hopefully I'm doing something wrong

PS: I have chessconnect debug messages enabled (and hit OK to save that flag) but I have no idea where to look for those messages.

thank you for reporting this. I can confirm this behaviour here in my side, too, and I will release a bugfix as quickly as possible. In the meantime: as soon as a game is started, you will be able to reconnect to you board.

Reconnecting works for me as soon as I click "play," whether or not the game has started yet. At the most I lose 5-10 seconds at the start of the game.

@OutOfCheese: Here is version 4.3.20beta which should fix the problem. Maybe, you can give it a try?

(But please deinstall 4.3.16 first. Two Chessconnect versions at the same time does not work too well)

No. If you have 4.3.20, then you're good.
