Why is it crazy? You just hold the power button down when turning it on until the central squares flash, or is that not calibrating?

dont' forget you have to remove all the pieces from the board lol.

The pieces are not on the board when I'm getting it out of the box.... Take out of box, hold down power button, done. Crazy?

Don't worry, I still love you.

BaronVonChickenpants

Ah, there is the difference. I pack mine away after each session so for me calibrating whenever I turn it on is no hassle at all.

And then everybody lived happily ever after. Aahhhhhh

I read that Millenuim and Chess24 are working on a project so the experience will be simple stable and clean according to the article. Hopefully someday in the future using an E Board will be clean and simple.

Why thank you darling.
I’ve only calibrated my Pegasus twice. When I first got it.

Of course, it just makes everything warm and tingly. It’s a beautiful thing. Have a lovely day sweet cheeks ;o)

I wonder about the future of using real boards and cameras with recognition, ala https://github.com/karayaman/Play-online-chess-with-real-chess-board

GeorgeGoodnight

Erm it’ll  be available for Mac sometime before the next moon landing? Will it recognise my favourite Peppa Pig chess set? ;o)

GeorgeGoodnight

No more playing in the buff then.

clothstir

It looks like it works on Mac even now, though I haven't tried it. As for playing in the buff, I say be free and be yourself happy.png

I feel very fortunate or maybe I just received a really good unit.  Other than the battery issue my Pegasus has performed very well.  I have only had to calibrate it twice and I have played many, many games.  I do use the White Pawn app on Lichess however.  I do wish I could use it with Chess.com because that is my favorite chess site.  Hopefully in the future...

I also have the Square Off Pro and the Millennium E-One but I use my Pegasus the most.  I do like the SoP but, being floppy, it is harder to relocate.  The Millennium is nice but a little small.  Plus, I really like the glowing circles on the Pegasus to indicate moves.  I also have a Centaur and those lights are just awesome to me.

Being floppy is no good.

Nice summary @CoolOutAC

I believe that 550 posts in 700 days is way more than any other product, much less a chess board, on chess.com. I dunno know how many Pegs are out in the wild, but something is keeping us interested, despite her awful Amazon reviews...

Close your eyes, click your heels together three times and repeat, "the new app is coming, the new app is coming,..."

BaronVonChickenpants

Played a couple of games last night, didnt bother calibrating when setting up and it all went fine. ( I still lost)
