Beautiful work, Sir! When do you go into production with your New Chavet?
Put me down for Order #1!
Can I be #2 on the list?
It is very well done. I covet a Chavet and a reproduction will do nicely for me since I am not a purist.

I'm sorry guys, prospect brother-in-law stand-in first degree practically neighbor comes first (that would be me yes, thank you for asking).
@Pawnerai, there wouldn’t happen to be a game of chess depicted in the Norman Rockwell frame above the clock?
you all are making me chuckle, a very good respite from the day’s troubles.
@jacmater I have a shelf right above the monitor to my work computer. I place chess pieces on there to admire during the day while I work. I rotate out the pieces with other sets from time to time. Coincidentally, I currently have had the Chavet pieces up there for about a week We are on the same wavelength from across the ocean. 6000km away. Hah!
And that's the set a few pieces of mine were based on! Do not put the Raikislay set, there can omly be one ! And by the way, Mr. Pawnerai , very easy to be on the same wavelenght with such a nice people!

I'm sorry but mr. TheOne is right and as my first candidate of being one of my future brothers-in-law he is the first on the list, let me fix this situation and ask which one of my three sisters want to get divorced.
I'm a mormon btw. Let me see, one Dub limited special and a Chavet limited special that's 2 sets. You have 3 sisters you said? I'll take two!
Mister Jac, do you realize you have made the best two design in the world?
After a short visit to my uncle's house I went back to see the 3rd (or 2nd...?) set I made and took a few pictures. I also made the board with a veneer that I found on the street one lucky day.
Enjoy the pictures.
Thank you all guys and I agree on the board, nice wood combination, I remember I have made a borderless board but never posted any pic.
At the time being this is the next project, it has to be finished before christmas.
This has been possible thanks to mr. @TheOne....and his great pictures

No worries my brother, I can also wait until the week after Christmas. No rush

This looks very sexy @jacmater!! Congrats, awesome skills, always fascinating to see your jobs. I recently discovered this thread, so I'm reserving a seat here.
Continuing this thread with what now appears to be a serious problem of mine. Don't mind the location, my shop has the best lighting in my home in the evening!
Starting with my Maple and Walnut Dubrovnik on my 50mm (2") Maple and Walnut board. Both made by me:
Next my Maple and Jatoba Dubrovnik set featured on my 57mm (2.25") purpleheart and figured Maple board. Both made by me.
Now my 50mm (2") folding Curly Maple and Curly Walnut (a rarity if I may say so) board with the Staunton castle Library set I purchased to fit into it to make a luxury travel library set:
My last share for this evening (see posts 238-241) is an unexpected pleasure for me, I selected the lumber for it's figure but I couldn't possibly have anticipated how well it turned out, a new favourite for me:
My 50mm (2") Curly Maple and Curly Sapele board with my Maple and Jatoba Dubrovnik set, both made by me.
And still I am making more! I can't stop myself. I see beautiful lumber and I see how it can make a gorgeous board or a beautiful set. Definitely a problem.
