French Regency with “dog-faced” knights.
What pattern are these chessmen?

Can anyone help me put a name to the pattern of these vintage chessmen please? I've seen comparable sets for sale described as "St. George" but to my mind this is little or nothing like a St.George set. For starters, St. George Bishops are cloven not merely turned.
