About the ratings of a coach:
Some people have a way of explaining things that make it very easy to understand. That's why u have some chess coaches/trainers way below their students level (rating). I've seen trainers from master to GM level that just start calling out variations (if they play here then u play blah blah) with hardly any explanation of the thought process or decision making ideas behind the moves.
