How do you guys choose and learn from chess.com lessons?

About a month ago I got premium and started watching some chess.com lessons, but most of them don't even help me.  I try to find some good tutorials but it's a very long process and I can't find any. Without that, I find that no matter how useful the information is, I often forget about it.

I've paid for gold membership and the videos are ok but they don't go in too much depth and a lot of times I don't understand the accents. The beginner lessons are good as I was able to understand some fundamentals and I was able to do all lessons up to master. I basically milked some bug on chess.com that on my phone on Sunday, it wouldn't tell me to upgrade to Premium so 8 hours on Sunday for three weeks and I caught up. 

I do like Simon William's opening videos like the French Defense as it gave me an introduction to it so I went and got a book to make a study here. I believe Chess24 videos are more advanced than Chess.com's so you are going to get better quality content there. 

I am leaning off of Chess.com in favor of Lichess because they analyze my games for free, I actually learn openings using that website, and I am able to learn how to mate with knight and bishop. Very underated.

I think it's a bad idea because you probably won't learn anything by just watching the lessons and not experimenting with them on your games. And the reason why I made this post was because I thougth lessons we're inefficient and don't help that much as expected (even the master ones).

You need to practice these things. I can learn all this opening theory but it would mean nothing if I don't play the opening. Also, there are so many lessons, you probably won't be able to finish them all. All the videos before Mastery took me at least 32 hours as I exploited a glitch that allowed me unlimited lessons. 

You can analyze all of your games with platinum. This is very beneficial to watch your mistakes and blunders per game and try to review what is the better options for moves and practice. 

Also, the lessons seem tedious and boring, but sometimes it's good to review your basics. 

Could you please message me about that bug? I want to get more lessons as well lol. 3 lessons a week just is not enough. (I found a bug that allows me to watch all the lesson videos, but not the challenges/exercises. I once tried changing timezones, hoping for an additional three lessons a week but that did not work. )

I believe they patched it up. Personally, I just read chess books I find online. Here is a great link for some of them which don't have everything but it's still a good selection. I also use Z-library as they have a great selection of books to choose from.

Now that you have a book, use the study feature on Lichess so that you can have something to refer back to when you play (for example) an opening line that is mentioned in the book that you just experienced in one of your games. This is my French study which is more of a theory book and the first part of my Queen's Gambit study which is more of a show of different variations through annotated games. 

A lot of masters don't recommend studying the openings as much as other parts of the game for which you should check this video talking about many chess books for improving your game. I hope this at least gives you compensation for the bug being fixed.

I would recommend chess players irrespective of elo rating to watch Ben Fingold Blunder series ,Arthur Yusupov, Mark Dvoretsky,Daniel Naroditsky series.
