I need a free coach.

Hello! For as long as I've been playing chess, I've been stuck under 200 elo and can't improve. Every game I screw up. I need a coach, but I can't afford one. Can anyone help?

I'm just an average player but I did a quick look through your last few games for obvious issues.

1. Giving free pieces and not taking free pieces

2. Not paying attention to what your opponent is threatening

3. Losing time by not developing and doing useless moves

4. Not always following basic opening principles

I might be able to help if you really really need it. But even without a coach, the biggest way to improve at your elo level is to slow down to check which pieces your opponent can take for free and which pieces your opponent is letting you take for free.

I coach people for free and try get Novice/Beginner players to a higher chess rating than they were for free lessons at my chess club here Chessablelife Chess Community. You can see a little more info at my club and when you get over 1000, I can give you to my second coach at my chess club and he is also a chess streamer as well!

But at 200 elo how of much of that high level strategy is he/she going to retain let alone be able to apply or be relevant? 🤔

Depends on what he/she is learning, I think.

I don’t think it does because at 200 elo no strategy will be relevant, need to fix what’s going wrong first (which at 200 elo is everything)

Hey, I really need one too, We can do a meet on zoom or meet and you as my coach teach me new moves because i have limited moves i do not know what to do after them.

Before making a move, ask yourself “Why did my opponent move there, and what does he want?” You should also not worry about ELO. After you win or lose, analyze the game, what did you do right/wrong? Could you make a better move? And learn from your mistakes. Also when they make a move, is there any threats? Check your pieces and king to see if he can capture one of your pieces or checkmate your king. If there are not threats go see if you can capture something. If the move is good, then do it. If it’s bad, see if you can check your opponents king. If you can’t see if you attack something. Hopefully this helps!
