£10 for a 15-minute chess task at Prolific

Hey everyone,

We’re looking for very strong chess players to join an exclusive study on Prolific, an online research platform where users get paid by researchers to participate in online studies.

The task we’re inviting you to join pays £10 and takes 15 minutes to complete. You’ll be asked to write chess commentary that will help other players learn how to better play the game. Based on the results of the task, selected participants will be invited to join further studies that pay £35/hr.

There are only two entry criteria for the study. If you meet them, you’re good to go!

1. FIDE rating of 2,000+, or an online blitz/rapid rating of 2,200+ on or chess.com
2. Strong English proficiency

All you need to do to join is sign up to our platform using this link. You’ll be asked to provide your chess rating and basic demographic information on sign up. This should take no more than 5 minutes, and you’ll get access to the study straight away.
