What do 1900s have that 1800s don't?
Moving from 1800 to 1900 and beyond involves refining your skills and deepening your understanding of various aspects of the game.
Honestly, not a whole lot. I do think this is about the stage where you should be moving on from gambits to more solid openings, as the opponents you'll face will generally know how to handle them.
I had a friend from a couple of years ago whose puzzle rating was 2600 but his blitz and rapid rating was 1300-1400. A bunch of us friends used to play together and can vouch for the guy. He's an honest guy (we've watch him play a number of games online and solve a bunch of puzzles). For whatever reason, his puzzle rating and rated play rating are so far apart. I think he doesn't play much anymore because he has kinda given up. He last said that if he wants to get better, he'll have to get a paid coach to help him because he has no idea how to improve at this point.
Going of that, if you've been stuck for a while, you may need a few coaching sessions. I'm new myself, so take what I say with a pinch of salt
You'll probably fluctuate, a very good tournament result or a very good day could get you to 2000 and a bad tournament result or a very bad day could drop you to 1600 briefly. My experience against higher rated opponents that there is a gradual linear improvement going from 2000 to a master rated 2200 and a very noticeable jump from a 2200 master to 2300 FM, assuming everyone is playing frequently.

I'd say the biggest thing is openings... I can't play all the gambits I used to any more...

"What do the players at the level above me know?"
++ Endgames. Skill to convert advantage or save the draw.
"my favorite opening is the Danish Gambit" ++ Bad
"I usually play 10 minute games" ++ Better 15|10
"resources on chess.com that I should focus on?" ++ Analyse your lost games.
"defeat any bot up to 1800"
++ Do not play artificially weakened bots: they err, but in a non-human way.
I'm a 1300, so you may think that I have no right to speak on "how to improve to 1900-2000"
But I'm rather interested in asking you "Well, what do you do to improve your chess?"
Try and answer, it's for your own good
Also I have played many 2000s, They play well, but generally find them kinda fall apart in the endgame? Do make sure your endgame is strong.
PS: I've not played since a year. maybe i should make my rating qualified to say this advice?
Sincerely,

So: ditch the Danish(it worked at 1600), play longer games, study endgames and learn a real opening. Thanks for the advice
1. keep grinding with positive mindset
2. focus on the patterns from your lost positions and learn from the mistakes you make in your game.
3. Dont overcommit and dont under deliver
4. Set aim and not dream because dreams are meant to be seen and aims are meant to be achieved. Always do goal oriented work

Yes exactly endgame is more important then opening knowledge smart 1300 lol
If all else fails just hold until they get a worse position in the endgame
Well unless you play against that 2000 that likes endgames then your cooked
Here's my advice:
You simply perform better when you are focused. Try playing rapid ONLY when you are focused and feel like you are locked in. You can perform much better (up to even 200 points) when you are focused. Another tip is to just practice your endgames and openings. I would look at which openings you struggle against, and learn the repertoire for it (recommend chessable for this). You may also want to improve your endgames if you struggle at them. You can find out what part of the game you struggle with in Game Review. I hope this was a good and helpful answer. I am about 1700 in rapid, although I don't play on chess.com too much. Good luck in your journey in the great game of chess!

Bullet when not focused
Blitz when hyper focused
Rapid for in-between

I think AmmoniaPhosphate is trying to improve mainly at rapid. Blitz and Bullet are good when you just want to play casually. You could also make 2 accounts, one for serious play and another for fun if you really want to have the best rating you can get.
