I don't understand why move 12.Kf5 is correct: from what I can see, if Black plays ...Kh7, he gains the distant opposition (he is within the rectangle, of all White squares, f5 - f7 - h7 - h5).

There the goal is to reach h8, via maintaining the distant opposition and outflanking the Blank king, without ever allowing him to obtain the opposition.
I don't understand why move 12.Kf5 is correct: from what I can see, if Black plays ...Kh7, he gains the distant opposition (he is within the rectangle, of all White squares, f5 - f7 - h7 - h5).
Any idea why my reasoning is wrong?
