no more advanced courses.

I don't see anymore advanced chess mentor courses appropriate to my level. The rest is beginner level courses.

Thanks,

Eduard.

How are you determing what courses are appropriate to your level?

At a glance, the only courses that would seem too basic for a chess.com 1168 would be "Squares and Rules" and "Basic Checkmates and More".

Don't use the Avg Rating field to determine what is appropriate for your level--it shouldn't be used that way. For example, the Pawn Endgames course is classified as 1279 but there's enough information on pawn endings there for an expert.

I refer to courses which include lessons to make moves that require more thinking and calculation and going few variations. More theory and tactics and less "dry" material. Understand now? And what rate new courses are being added to the chess mentor.

Thanks.

Eduard.

There is quite a large discrepancy between your live games and your turn-based (about 900 points!!).

Where do you see that?

I know where to find them. I'm wondering how you see a 900 point discrepancy between his live games and turn-based ones.

1168 turn-based, 1196 live long, 1145 live blitz

Oh my!  My fault.  When I clicked on his name before I could have sworn it was up over 2000.  Maybe chess.com directed me to another users page?  I'll delete my previous post.

I've wondered how you can tell someones rating level.  I can't see it by clicking on their names.  Is there some other level.  I want to know so that I spy on how well my friends online are doing.  So I'll know how much better I need to get.

Also, I don't really see the point.  I keep thinking I would like some easier lessons.  Last night I noticed that I hadn't finished some of the early beginning lessons, so I went in to finish them up, and I learned a lot.  I learned a lot the first time, but this time through I understood what they were talking about more and learned even more.
