Ratings

I am currently rated 1833 on Chess trainer and a lowly 948 on tactics.  What does this say about my playing ability from an ELO standpoint.

Note: I have a high pressure job and often play in the evening after 11-12 hours in the office.  I could play much better when rested, early in the morning but I play when tired, primary to relax.   I joined a couple months ago and do have a desire to take my game to another level.  At one point I was rated 1200 on trainer and close to 2000 on mentor. 

It seems that the Chess Mentor ratings and Tactics Trainer ratings are not fully comparable. For more members their Chess Mentor rating is higher than their Tactics Trainer rating so you should not consider yourself weaker at chess tactics if this is the case.

Agreed, it says very little. My CM rating is >500 points higher than my TT rating. I think analyzing your games, or asking someone to help you analyze them, is the best way to determine which aspect of your play is the weakest and most needs improvement.
