Where to start

I recently started playing again after a 25 year layoff. I was never anything but a newb/novice when I did play. I now have a lowly 1000 pt rating and really enjoy Tactic trainer and the Mentor.

Here is my problem Mentor is like a starving man going to a all you can eat buffet. There are so many choices I have not a clue where to start. I have never had a formal lesson (see my pts) LOL and am reaching out to the members here to recommend a syllabus.

Any constructive suggestions will be highly appreciated.

You can choose to have the mentor adapt to your skill level.  As you improve in your knowledge the difficulty of the subject matter will increase.
