This opening works just fine for White as long as White has a plan for the follow-up to Black knowing 1 of 3 pretty effective responses to the Knight jump. It seems that a very small number of players below 1500 know how to respond to the bishop threat. I fully recommend learning this as Black, but I would love to see games that White has resolved having their pieces loose in the middle. Computer always recommends pulling the bishop back and some stronger players bring the Queen out threaten a check resulting in the loss of a rook.
