After reading a bit of this thread, I went onto live chess and faced the bong cloud for the first time. My opponent had the advantage but didn't protect h2 or attack f7 and I managed to pull off the win. I was lucky
Bongcloud Opening Book
I started playing the Hammerschlag (1.f3 e5 2.Kf2!), which is one of the "unofficial" Bongclouds listed in the ECO; but the Bongcloud seems better!
P.D: I would like to add the Pawn Advance variation In Alekhine's Bongcloud:
1.e4 Nf6 2.e5!? (not as good as Ke2, but still good) Nd5 3.Ke2
Looks solid to me.
Did you know that King David's (L25) was also in the ECO?

Oh, and I want to get credit for the "Modern defense: castle counterattack", which I tested in this game with success:
1.e4 g6 (1... g5) might also work, I have to try it) 2.Ke2 Nf6 3.Ke3 Bh6+ 4.Kg3 0-0. It's one way of delaying the Bongcloud and prepare your support troops to help the king.
heres a bongcloud win against a computer
This goes to show why computers shouldnt play chess
so heres the game with the Wherever I May Roam Attack (Mettalica reffrence)
how bout the Sicillian Mobster Attack
1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 Kd7!!
awsome opening I have yet to try it as i have just come up with it but it should work
I begin to experience serious doubts regarding the bongcloud. I recently played a much stronger player who played a f3-Kf2-g3-Bg2 set-up, and I wiped him out with little difficulty.

the idea Behind the Sicillian Mobster Deffence is to move the king to the queenside then back to the kingside so that your opponent wastes time defending heres the diagram
5. Qxd6?? exd6 wins far easier than 5... Qxd6?. Most decent players rated above 800 wouldn't play 5. Qxd6??, unless they hadn't slept for 48 hours straight.
oh by the way this might be a good variation named after my profile picture
The Pelican Fortress: it alows the king to march up the kingside while asisted by a knight
heres a lind to one of my Bongcloud games however i didnot try to get my king to the other side but instead focused on luring my oponent to over extend

It is important to take note that the Queen is not all that important in the Bongcloud-Bogart Variation, and so promoting a pawn to queen is to be avoided whenever possible. Preferably, you should always promote to knights and then protect them by pushing your King deep into Black's rear. This variation focusses on controlling the d-file and f5, while protecting h2 and threatening a7 whenever possible. It also takes a round-about approach to building up a "Pawn-Fort" in the center with the King protecting it's gate. This rare variation of the Bongcloud is NOT for the novice!
