Back up plan for when your fried liver does not work. It's kind of a variation and it's pretty good.

When I was a kid I played my step father plenty. He used to beat me regularly with what he called the Zamboni defense. I just couldn't beat it. Only years later did I learn that the Zamboni Defense is the king or queen indian . For years I thought he invented that because called the Zamboni defense. 😆

Marcus, you're highly rated enough that there's a chance you stumble upon something half way decent. Since you're a gold member, go to the learn tab then click on explorer.

Good luck!

After Qf6, d4! And I think your variation is refuted. Your king is stuck in the middle and the centre is opening up. Exd4 Re1+ and White has to be winning.

Ok you might try making your own opening but I think you can only make variations or lines of other opening as according to me all 20 first legal moves have names even something like a3 has a name, Andersson’s opening named after Adolph Anderson.

I made this one to combat a number of different openers, The more I used it the more I started winning, it's a little long, and easy to catch, but when it's in place you decent control of the board. I call it the Knight's Castle opening.

I made this, it has no name:

This is an opening I created. Its the Braun Defense. Simply its 1. e4 h5? which is the Goldsmith Defense but then 2. d4  e6? branching off into the Braun Defense.
