Introducing: The Thrawn Opening

Thrawn opening is only useful if you have practiced it enough to know every possible variation (there is like 5-10 possible variations in its theory or even more depending on what the opponent does)

AdiSFATM

Variation 1: Rise of the Emperor (a.k.a. the Titanium Shield)

AdiSFATM

Variation 2: The Great Checkmate Counter (a.k.a. scholars counter)

Variation 3: Rise of the Empress (a.k.a. Queen's variation)

My variation: Scandinavian variation (couldn't think of a good name)
AdiSFATM

That seems to still have a few things in common with the main variations of opening but barely any so maybe we could consider it a level 3 variation (level 1 variations are the main 3, level 2 are the alternatives if opponent knows the main 3, and level 3 are ones that still have few things in common but not a lot)

Variation 4: The Lessons of Art (level 2 variation)

RandomChessPlayer62

the big difference I see is the Scandinavian version is a lot more active, it takes the center and puts the queen on a semi-open file

AdiSFATM

If you learn all those 4 and practice them enough as both black and white (by figuring out how it would work for the other one) it should be easy for you to win beginner matches (any match where opponent is below 550 elo)

AdiSFATM

I will probably also add the opposite player variations soon

AdiSFATM

Basically level 1 variations are just set ups, level 2 variations include some mid game parts and are much more specific.

and level 3?

AdiSFATM

Level 3 variations are ones that connect this opening to other oppenings

AdiSFATM

Or ones that are relatively different from the level 1 ones

AdiSFATM

Maybe a theory book should be written about this opening lol
