Is the Queen's Gambit good
Is the Pope Catholic? Yes. Of course. Objectively. In; for example; the hands of a Karpov. But is it good for you? That all depends on your playing style. Work back from what sorts of middlegame you like to what openings get you there.

Decent advice in general but he’s 200 Elo, so that’s probably a fairly tall order
@JamesColeman I totally agree. I keep saying it in these opening forums because, over the years, I have seen the phenomenon "Lower graded player with potential thinks that a magic opening is all that's needed and as a result never develops" many many more times than I relish. And the phenomenon, "Lower graded player with potential gets busy on their overall play" a lot less frequently than one might wish.
True. It is a false belief that some "perfect " opening is going to guarantee a predetermined win.
Example: I may have to resign a game that I am currently playing against an 1800 level opponent. I played an opening that I know very well and probably had the advantage well into the middle game but the loss is for other reasons. Namely,
A) underestimating the strength of a passed pawn.
B) having an open king.
C) playing on the color squares that was opposite of my bishop. I learned that essentially it is like playing down a piece because the bishop cannot help in the defense or the attack.
I've been studying the Queens Gambit, but i don't know if its a good start. Im 200 elo
