Shveshnikov Sicilian

I'd put more effort into add more stuff but the Sveshnikov Sicilian at <1500, heck even <2000 is a terrible idea. You can learn to break the opening principles (the dynamic counterplay) once you are good enough to, at the very least, understand them. The Sveshnikov should NOT be a beginner's main opening.
Besides, I am not even sure what % of games would even make it to move 5-6 at the beginner level if black plays his moves trying to enter the Sveshnikov. I would guess <10%.
Around 2010, IM John Watson wrote, "... For players with very limited experience, ... the Sicilian Defence ... normally leaves you with little room to manoeuvre and is best left until your positional skills develop. ... I'm still not excited about my students playing the Sicilian Defence at [the stage where they have a moderate level of experience and some opening competence], because it almost always means playing with less space and development, and in some cases with exotic and not particularly instructive pawn-structures. ... if you're taking the Sicilian up at [say, 1700 Elo and above], you should put in a lot of serious study time, as well as commit to playing it for a few years. ..."
If one really is determined to start to learn about the Sveshnikov Sicilian, I suppose that one place to start is with the illustrative games in The Sicilian Sveshnikov: Move by Move.

Since one has a fair chance of encountering an opponent who will avoid 1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 d4, it might be a good idea to look into the sort of thing discussed in Anti-Sicilians Move by Move.
