Sicilian - O'Kelly Variation

Sort:
mxdplay4

Does anybody know info on

this opening? Black sets up like this:

jkor

That set-up reminds me of the dragon variation for the sicilian defence.

Anyway typing O'kelly variation on Google could be useful.

If black plays his b8 Knight to d7, it's called the "Dragadorf" variation, and has been played by English IM Simon Williams, against none other than Shirov, if I remember correctly

If black plays the b8-Knigth to c6, we're back to Dragon sicilian territory, albeit maybe not the best version for black...

My surname is O'Kelly and to be honest the Sicilian O'Kelly variation should only be attempted after several pints or Ireland's finest...
