I would especially want to bring your attention to the last one. The position is very complex, but I believe it should be better for white.

ANALYSIS!

With best plays, looks like it is better for black.

After the moves  1.e4 e5 2.b3 Bc5

I do not think we should call that line the Italian Variation.

I think the position is more similar to the Bishop Opening 1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 .

I would call the following line 1.e4 e5 2.b3 Bc5 as The Reverse Bishop Opening.

I think we covered the Italian Variation in the Grinch defense as a sub- variation

1.e4 e5 2.b3 Nf6 3.Nc3

3...Bc5 would be like the Reverse Italian Game

3...Bb4 would be like the Reverse Spanish Game

It would be kool if there was a way to make like a miniature database with these moves & names on them.

Robert_New_Alekhine

Italian Santa is fine by me.

The way we have things are pretty disorganized. Tell you what, I'll make a chessbase file for myself and I will put all the lines there. It'll take some work, but I will then be able to post the PGNs.

Actually I was thinking of putting all the lines in 1 diagram.

However, I was thinking it would probably look kooler as like a chess explorer tree.

Robert_New_Alekhine

X_PLAYER_J_X, I've put in the first 2 pages posted in this forum.

Hope you like it.

X_PLAYER_J_X

Very nice Robert!

I have a diagram which has the updated names.

I have not added any games which I probably should make another diagram with games.

X_PLAYER_J_X

Oh yeah lets not forget about the Santa Claus Group!

We got tons of analysis in there as well which didn't even get mentioned yet lol.

Yeah a lot of stuff for sure.

Going over a line no one has even heard of.

Well it is interesting for sure.

Everyone has added there own spinn on things.

Robert_New_Alekhine

Yes, first I enter everything from the forum, then everything from the group.

DoctorStrange

Robert's opening theory is nice.

Following Robert_New_Alekhine's theory..

Santa Claus Opening/symmetrical Variation/Bishop's fianchetto attack!

Santa Claus Opening/symmetrical Variation/Bishop's fianchetto attack/Italian Counterattack

Olé!

X_PLAYER_J_X

@finn416

Everything you said is correct except for 1 line.

1.e4 e5 2.b3 d5

The line name got changed!

It was first the North Pole Attack.

However, people didn't seem to like the name.

Instead it got changed to Christmas Stocking-Counter Attack.

X_PLAYER_J_X

We have created a total of 22 different variations!

Those are the ones I have counted as of yet.

I still have to go through the group forums.

People did some analysis of specific variations on there.

Still have to figure out what the mainline should be and what the side lines should be for those.

However, yeah 22 is the count as of yet.

DoctorStrange

north pole?
