What is the worst opening in chess🤔
Kings Gambit
that's one of the best
The KG blows. Both the classical declined (2...Bc5) and the Modern Vatiation of the accepted (2...exf4 and 3...d5) are great for Black.
sicillian, I feel like it's overrated, there is just so much play with white and so easy to react against.
(when it comes to real, playable openings)
Birds Opening with anybody below 1500. Although they had a lot of games with this opening, apparently I was the first to actually play this trap.
The dudweiler gambit, as you allow two great moves: 1, taking the pawn with the bishop. 2, e5, threatening mate.
Latvian gambit because in theory refuted.
I feel attacked by this, as a Latvian Gambit player x'D
#15 Sorry but I think it's true.
On the Chessmaster program, Natalie (2411 on my computer in 15m1s as I speak because the program doesn't always give the same elo for bots) we can potentially win without even to be a 2100 (elo in the program) just because she plays the Latvian Gambit.
I did the test by playing Tick (1914), which I beat several times, against Natalie in time 15m+1s per move :
but he lost so it's not that simple.
Natalie always plays 3)...Nc6 instead of 3)...Qf6. In his repertoire with Black 1) e4 then no knowledge 1)... e5 she always plays this move 2) Nf3 then she is obliged to play 2)...f5 and it's no book for her. In theorie by calculating she thinks 3)...Qf6 is losing or very bad and she still plays 3)...Nc6
Otherwise I find ridiculous to play a refuted opening and with a common idea you can play 1) e4 e5 2) Nf3 Nc6 3) Bb5 f5 or 1) e4 e5 2) Nf3 Nc6 3) Bb5 a6 4) Ba4 f5 with Black Pragg played this against Vidit https://youtu.be/VBGVmcHVnLk?list=PLAwlxGCJB4NfxSrDo3gfvI-9NdzWRH9dj FIDE Candidates 2024 Rd 3 | Vidit v Pragg & Gukesh v Ian!
