I just always bring the knights out so I can cover the pawns if I choose to bring them out...
My top chess opening? The 'Oh No, Not This Again Defense'—where I confidently follow theory for three moves before realizing I have no idea what I’m doing.
But when I’m feeling ambitious, it’s the Italian Game because I love pretending I’m sophisticated and know what 'c3' and 'd3' actually accomplish. Bonus points if my opponent falls for a cheeky knight fork.
And when I’m really just here for chaos? The Bongcloud Attack. Nothing says 'I’m unpredictable' like moving the king on move two and hoping my opponent laughs so hard they blunder."
